“For Liberty” documentary premieres in Seattle on Nov. 20

Anyone who followed and supported Ron Paul’s 2008 presidential bid might sum up their sentiments in three simple words: “What a ride!”

ForLibertyMovie.com - A Grassroots Docum3ntaryRon Paul supporters rode an emotional roller coaster as Paul’s campaign and message gained traction daily even as attempts were made to stop the campaign in its tracks.

Two of those supporters, Chris Rye and Corey Kealiher, set out to make a movie about the rEVOLution. Released to DVD on Sept. 23, 2009, the movie is titled “For Liberty: How the Ron Paul Revolution Watered the Withered Tree of Liberty.” The 115-minute documentary follows Paul’s historic campaign from the perspective of grassroots activists, and showcases the unique, often bizarre, yet groundbreaking projects they undertook as they brushed aside traditional campaign methodology.

A Seattle premiere of this film is scheduled for Nov. 20, 2009, at the Jewelbox Theater at the Rendezvous in Belltown. Happy hour priced food and drink is available at the Rendezvous from 4-6 p.m.; doors open at 6. Only 60 seats are available for those who want to relive the grassroots campaign and celebrate its victories together. Tickets will sell out quickly and may be purchased online in advance via PayPal by clicking the link below.

Supporters laughed over hilarious, entertaining hijinks intended to grab attention for Paul’s message. They fumed over concerns of voter fraud, the mainstream media’s exclusion of Paul from public debates, and shoddy treatment by local party leadership. They gave until their bank accounts bled and celebrated together when Ron Paul’s campaign brought in over $20 million one quarter for individual donations.

They experienced profound relief to discover they were not alone in their concerns about the direction this nation was heading and their support for the principles America was founded on. And soon supporters found they had become part of a wildly impassioned movement so much larger than themselves: a movement lovingly titled the Ron Paul rEVOLution.

The ride’s not over yet! Profits from ticket sales will fund a well-organized precinct committee officer drive to encourage local liberty lovers to get involved with the political party of their choice at the neighborhood level. Very excited about “For Liberty” coming to Belltown. I hope to share the experience with the liberty family that we’ve created over the last few years here in Seatown.
Trailers look great. Reviews have been vcry positive.
    Can’t Wait!!

Two days after this past presidential election I receive a phone call from my aunt that I am close to and discuss politics with. She asked who I voted for and I replied a “third party”. I then received, “oh you voted for Ron Paul, followed by, “I wish you would have voted for Obama…So in years to come you can say you were apart of this historical moment of electing of an African American President”. I reply “ In years to come I will know in my heart I voted for the individual that would best serve the interests of the people and not a packaged product to serve the corruption within party politics”.

I anticipate once “For Liberty” goes video it will also go viral and with the political and economical climate as it is today where change = “an escalation of more of the same” this movie can be a very impacting tool to liberty activists. I cannot wait to show the film to those who I know had scrutinized or blindly dismissed our commonsense liberty movement.

    For Freedom,
